Positioning Company for Continued Growth
November 8, 2012
KIRKLAND, WA – Steve Weed, Chief Executive Officer of WaveDivision Holdings LLC, announced today the addition of three executives to the Wave leadership team, as well as strategic changes in current executive roles, to position the company for continued expansion.
Wave, a fast-growing provider of advanced cable TV, true high-speed Internet and Phone services, serving residential and business customers in major West Coast markets, acquired the Northwest assets of Broadstripe earlier this year, and recently announced an agreement to acquire Seattle area fiber carrier, Black Rock Cable.
Steve Friedman, Wave’s current Chief Operating Officer, has been promoted to the position of President and COO. With more than 28 years of experience owning and operating cable systems, Friedman joined Weed as an investment partner at Wave in 2003 – “the Steve’s” have been running the company together for 9 years. Weed stated, “This promotion speaks to Steve’s tremendous contribution to Wave’s successes to-date, and his ability to play a key role in leading our future growth.”
Wave’s current Chief Marketing Officer, Arah Peck, will become EVP of Strategic Development. Arah will concentrate more exclusively on key customer support initiatives to ensure Wave continues its legacy as a customer-centric organization. Weed added, “Driven by its number one priority, the customer, Wave will need this on-going focus in our future growth, and Arah is the perfect person to lead and maintain that integrity for us.”
True to the company’s history of attracting exceptional leadership talent, Weed announced the hiring of three new senior executives, effective immediately. All have extensive experience in the cable business and are known as industry influencers in their areas of expertise:
Tim Klinefelter joins Wave as EVP of Broadband Services, overseeing all regional operations and Radio Frequency (RF) Engineering. Tim is a 35 year distinguished cable veteran. As SVP of Operations for Insight’s flagship Louisville system, he oversaw one of the industry’s best success stories, increasing penetration of residential products, despite a highly competitive market.
Patrick Knorr will join Wave as EVP of IP & Business Services, and will manage Business Solutions and IP Engineering, including Wave’s Network Operations Center. With Patrick’s long-term success in the industry as the former General Manager of Sunflower Broadband, he is recognized as a leader in deployment of advanced IP services, and his experience is well matched for the high growth potential of Wave’s Business division.
Colette Jelineo is also joining as the new Chief Marketing Officer to oversee Wave’s marketing and sales teams. Previously VP of Marketing with Cox Communications, Colette is recognized as one of the cable industry’s most effective marketers, leading Cox’ Las Vegas market to become the fastest growing in the company, in the face of competition and challenging economic conditions.
Weed stated, “We are extremely happy about the addition of these newest members to our executive team; their experience and expertise help position Wave for incremental success and growth in the future.” Colette, Tim and Patrick will start in their new capacities in the coming weeks at the company’s corporate headquarters in Kirkland, Washington.
