Erick does not give up. This is only his second job and he won't stop for the people. He is an essential worker in a grocery store. He doesn't have to be there, but he says "Mom I need to be there. We are ok but somebody else is not." When I try to reach him on his phone at work, his response is "I'm busy." I love this guy and all he is doing to help the community. He puts his safety last. Shawn selflessly gives back to our community. Shawn served 24 years in the Marine Corps and upon retiring, immediately started donating time to disadvantaged youth. During the Covid-19 crisis, Shawn made it a point to ensure that he could feed as many children as possible whom regularly relied on school lunches. Shawn does all of this anonymously and defers praise to everyone else. Awesome human!

My friend Janie, (I call her my sister), is a superhero. She has been helping her Neighbors out during this time of need. She cooks and gives them plates, she takes out all the trash for them because they older people. she cleans for them and goes to the store for them. She feeds them and kids too. She opens her door to a lot of families who need a place to stay until they get on their feet. She is a kind-hearted and loving person to all. There's not a bad bone in her. She's always smiling even when she hurts. She is a hard worker and I'm glad I have her in my life as a sister. She deserves this.
