My sweet momma Jean has been battling lung cancer for 25 years. She's a walking miracle! These last two years have been the hardest. She's allergic to chemo ... and her options are now extremely limited. She gets a pet scan next Tuesday to see if the chemo did anything but make her super sick and vulnerable to viruses. She's been quarantined a lot longer than us all. TV has been a blessing for her. Please keep her in your prayers.

My mother Carlene is my personal hero. She helps me with my son, talks with me about my relationship, helps me out with food, and has a shoulder for me to cry on always. She believes in me. And she learns through us as much as we do from her. She helps my sisters out just the same. She is amazing! I don't know what I'd do without my mom.

Pastor Bill is helping all prison systems in Texas - check with the governor. It's amazing how finding God behind bars is helping them.

I am nominating David. He is my hero, role model, life example, and most important of all... he is my father. David is a retired police officer and now serves his community through irrigation supply and waterworks to keep construction moving from behind the scenes. He is never one to bring attention to himself but is someone I have chosen to model my life after. My father is the reason I serve as a police officer in the city of Waco, and his legacy continues its impact. David deserves to be recognized as a hero, and may I also add he does this all at the age of 61. Now a grandpa, David never stops serving his community or his family. A true hero in every sense of the word.

Scott & White Clinic & Dialysis Center Doctors, Nurses, Technicians & all staff have been faithful and unwavering in their dedication, providing continuing care for each of us that needs "life-sustaining" dialysis. They are working 16+ hours daily, on the front line, putting their loved ones and themselves at risk with each hour they provide the care needed by each of us needing dialysis and their families.

I go through some really low lows and high highs because of PTSD, yet my hero is my daughter Maya for always being able to talk me through those difficult times with such an older wisdom for her age. I don't know why she is so good at counseling with such understanding and wisdom, but she is the reason I am still here.

Chad has been working throughout this Pandemic and making sure we have everything we need at home for our children and for myself. He has worked very hard to keep a roof over our heads, to keep food on our table, and to keep sickness away during this crazy time. He has helped both sides of our family as well as random people who need the extra help. We are so proud of him for staying sane through all of this and I don't know what we would do without him.
