Jean is due to retire in August, but she is still working. She is a post-anesthesia nurse and stepped up to work in ICU to help out with the COVID-19 patients. She goes to work to help and did not take an early out. She does not brag or pat herself on her shoulder, she goes to work. Jean is not only a good nurse, but Jean is also a patient advocate. She is not recognized for what she does, she cares for her patients.

Nathaly is a single mother, raising a sweet baby girl while both working as a babysitter AND going to school for nursing. She always puts others before herself—both her daughter and the people in her community. That's why she's working so hard to become a nurse. She's an amazing mom and friend and absolutely deserves to be recognized.

Joanne is a wonderful woman who not only lives in my community, but is someone I call a true friend. She always is positive & sees the best in everyone. Joanne lost her husband 1 1/2 years ago. At age 80, she had to find a job so she could remain in her home. She is a faithful, part-time employee of Giant/Forks Twnsp. She truly enjoys going to work. I am nominating her because of several variables of why she should NOT work during COVID 19, yet she is dedicated & takes the risk at checking out customers 3 or 4 days/week. I hope you will give her consideration.

I nominate Jarrett. Not only is he a great person, but he goes above and beyond everything he does. He goes to work everyday risking his life during the critical time in this world to deliver packages to all the people and local businesses. Plus he also helps out in the community in the Lehigh valley every summer committing his time to train kids that are not able to spend the big bucks on summer camps and leagues. He works with the JR. NBA train kids of all ages the basic fundamentals of basketball. Over all he's just a great husband, father, worker and mentor for the local kids in our community.

My sister Olga is a registered nurse at a local hospital. She is truly a hero. When the news of covid came, their hospital got hit hard and fast. The amount of patients multiplied each day and she was deployed to work in a makeshift ICU as a critical care nurse without being trained for critical care. She stepped up to the plate, learning on the go, adapting, all while risking her health and life. The amount of death and loss she experienced was very overwhelming. She worked on adrenaline, and cried on her days off when she would finally get the chance to reflect on all the horrific scenes she saw. She told me about the freezer trucks parked outside the hospital where they stored dead bodies. She is truly a strong person, dedicated to her profession and not someone who gives up easily. She worked many overtime shifts just to fill the gaps of the sick co-workers out with covid, often working 16 hour shifts. She adapted to care for ventilator critical patients on multiple complex IV drip medications that helped to keep these patients alive for as long as possible. I'm truly proud to call her my sister and believe she is deserving of gifts such as this.

Tabby is an urgent care physician dividing her time between an urgent care facility in the Bronx as well as an attending physician in a public housing project in the Bronx for the homeless. She is also the mother of a nearly three-year-old boy who is now totally in the daytime care of his father, a fine art and digital artist working at home.
