Timna is a nurse at the hospital. She recently joined the hospital in the month of March. Although she could have postponed her joining date, she instead heard the call of duty and joined in March and is now helping our communities to be a safe place by putting herself at risk each passing day. We appreciate all that she(and other frontline healthcare workers) are doing for each one of us. Thank you Timna and thanks to your colleagues!

Ricky works at the hospital and is always a positive thinker. He goes above his job description always helping others. He keeps a smile on his face and is always optimistic. He keeps everyone's spirits up in these tough times. He's A GREAT HUMAN BEING!

Demara is a strong, caring, sensitive woman who grew up in the foster care system and has dedicated her life to helping kids and families as a social worker. I've watched time and time again the amount of effort and love she has for her career and the families involved. Going beyond her job to even set up events at her home (barbecues, Easter egg hunts, etc.) for the families, donating household appliances to clients, and even giving me a place to stay when I had nowhere to go. I've watched that devotion only increase since the COVID-19 outbreak, to the point that she leaves very little room for herself, pushing herself to and past her limits at times. Demara, thank you for being one of my heroes!

Kris is on the front lines of the COVID crisis serving the residents of a Nursing Home. Many of the residents are confused and lonely due to the quarantine restrictions. Kris comforts and cares for these most vulnerable members of our community with compassion and support during these uncertain times.

Viktor is a genuine and caring person, actively supporting and helping the community throughout this crisis.

Homero is a Physicians assistant at a hospital in Chicago and I am nominating him as my local hero because he is working on the front lines of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Homero has been working night shifts and many more days and hours than usual since the pandemic began. Not only has Homero taken the action of a hero, he has taken that action from a place of genuine care and love for humankind. Homero served our country in the military and helped his local community as a firefighter and now he is helping the sick during this global pandemic. He has the heart and mind of a hero and we are so lucky to have him in Chicago!

Ka is my hero because when I am now unemployed, she bears with me and supports me not only financially, but with words of encouragement and action. She keeps me in high and positive spirits and makes me stay hopeful, always reminds me there will be light at the end of the tunnel. I know many might have suffered depression because of what is happening to his or her own situation impacted by covid-19. Not all heroes are frontline workers, or wear a cape; some support others silently through action and small kind of acts.

I am nominating Joe, my best friend! He is currently working for a local bank as their commercial loan officer. Joe is working with the small businesses throughout the Lehigh Valley through this economic hardship to prevent any business from failing due to the CV19 pandemic crisis. His dedication is unbelievable. He is truly a superhero! Just to nominate him is wonderful! He has not taken off from work throughout this time.
