Why is KVIQ-CBS no longer available?
Currently, KVIQ-CBS is delivered to Wave via DISH Network for the area of Garberville, CA due to limited transport options to Garberville. DISH is negotiating for continued carriage with the owner of this broadcast station. DISH has been unable to come to an agreement. As a result, DISH is no longer permitted to air this channel and because of this, KVIQ-CBS is no longer available for delivery to Wave customers. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience while we work hard to find an alternate way to deliver this channel.
Does Wave have a contract to carry KVIQ?
Yes, Wave does have an agreement in place to carry this Network; however, we do not currently have an immediate solution to deliver this channel

What are you doing to get the channels back on the air?
Wave is working with both the station owner and DISH Network to find an alternative solution to deliver the content. In addition, we are exploring other technical options to deliver CBS content.
Are other Wave markets affected by this?
No, Garberville, CA is the only Wave system affected by this particular instance.
Does this happen to other cable companies?
Yes. As the cost of channels continue to increase, negotiations with all content providers have become more difficult to come to agreeable terms. While this negotiation was not directly with Wave, our customers are affected by the resulting fallout from the channels going off the air.
