Kerri is a nurse at a Hospital in Sacramento. She has been trained in Covid since there are were no elective surgeries. She is an amazing woman that has rescued several horses from slaughter and sheep. She bought a home in the country with a little old house on it and enjoys her passions.

My local hero is Cathy. She has been working at the only grocery store in our little town for over 20 years. I can't she has never complained but I can say she is there at the store, every day serving the community. I have witnessed first hand on several occasions her helping under privileged kids or a struggling Mom or Dad who can't quite afford the food they need out of her her own pocket with no second thought about it. Local school kids routinely come in just to say hello and thank you to her with a hug. She has not missed a day since the covid-19 pandemic and actually went in on days off to help sanitize the store to ensure customer and employee safety. She is a hero and an inspiration.

My mom is a teacher. She works all week preparing leasons and adapting to teaching online during the pandemic. She also has custody of my niece and nephews that she is raising. So on top of being a full time teacher she raise three teenagers. I am disabled and she still makes time to check in with me and bring supplies when I need them. She has always been my hero and her strength amazes and inspires me everyday.

He goes beyond his work description to help others. Has been at work helping with the go to meals during this shut down. Always ready with a smile and helpful hand,

Gloria is a frontline care-giver, an RN at Medical Center in California, and has been for many, many years. She contracted Covid-19 and was hospitalized for 3+ weeks, including being in ICU for several days, and having to be both sedated and given a paralytic, to help her through this ordeal. So, basically, she was induced to be paralized, and was sedated, while being fairly conscious to the whole thing. She tended to and cared for many sick people, only to get sick herself. She was just discharged, and is fighting to regain her proper health and lifestyle. She is anxious to get back in the trenches to help those avoid the ordeal she went through! She is a true inspiration to our fam1ly and all those she cares for!

Carmen is a wonderful women who does respite care for my autistic son he is three years old and she comes over from an hour away even with this virus to help. The best care giver I've ever had. She is always cheerful and sweet and helps so many family's. She is definitely my hero

Tristan is not only a Nurse Practitioner that is continuing care for her patients during this time, but has also worked on the front lines, is a single mother, and still manages to find time to help me with my hard pregnancy and surprise me with flowers and a card for Mother's Day. She is thoughtful, intelligent, brave, ambitious, caring, and most of all - She is definitely a local hero.

David works the graveyard shifts at a local garbage collection and recycling company. He has never missed one day of work during the pandemic.
