Ernest has worked tirelessly to make our neighborhood a safer and more inclusive community to all of its citizens. Since becoming the neighborhood association President, he and the N/A officers have implemented programs that have left a positive impact in this community. From the Citizens On Patrol, which monitors our neighborhood for suspicious activity, to the pantry that helps feed any number of families through hard times, Ernest and wife Sandra have done nothing but led this community/association by example. They have opened thier home and freely given their time to the good people of our neighborhood. If ever somebody deserved this award and certainly the recognition, it is Ernest. I want to nominate Matt. He is a food service manager for our school district. Every day he makes sure he has plenty of meals for when the families come to pick up for their children. He goes above and beyond with no questions asked. And does it with a smile on his face. He enjoys what he does. He makes sure all the children get fed and loves to see all the families that come!! Please consider him!! He is the greatest person!!

Lupita went out of her way when San Antonio was in its prime with Covid19 setting up a food pantry and delivering to seniors in need. She helped over 50 people.

I'd like to nominate my fiancé, Esther. I am an ER nurse, and we have been called heroes among other things. During this time we have been praised tremendously for what we do, while it is somewhat rewarding to hear I don't feel like my job is any different. However, my fiancé is amazingly wonderful and I truly cherish her for what she does. She takes care of our 6 month old son, which is a 24 hour job. She feeds him, bathes him, changes him all day everyday. She also is a teacher to our 6 year old because of the Coronavirus shutting down schools. On top of that she still cooks, cleans, makes sure my scrubs are ironed and that I'm taken care of. Of course on my days off I try to shoulder some of her burden but it drains me doing only an extremely small amount of what she does everyday with no days off. She does for everyone else and often neglects herself. To me that is a true hero, by putting everyone else's needs before their own. That's why she is my hero!
