I see kids light up when they run into you out in public, Mandy, turning to share with whomever they're with that you are THEIR principal! While I'm certain that not many see what I witness - the sleepless nights, your phone going off like a winning slot machine, the daily sacrifices you make for your campus, staff, students, and their families, I am certain that they know that their Elementary would not be such a wonderful place to be without your strong leadership. As this #COVID19 pandemic has placed even more on you, I've seen your inner #WonderWoman shine through it all. You are #MyHero.

Every year Christy puts together a toy drive for all of the local children in need and raises money to provide gifts for them. She doesn't just take the time to pick out random gifts. She actually selects what each child wants and makes sure that they get exactly what they want each year so that they feel special and heard. This past year she did all of this while undergoing chemo. I could not be prouder of her for all of her selflessnesses. I am blessed to call her friend.

I'll start off by saying I don't know if I can nominate myself. I am a Dual essential servant. I won't say hero because it's what I always do. I work for a delivery service and have been making sure packages have kept rolling. I am not a courier but I am a handler which many people don't know much about. I take care of every package that comes in and out of the station. We have been trying to keep up with everyone ordering online lately and so far so good. Besides doing that, I am also on the front lines as a volunteer firefighter still answering calls whenever I am available. The only reason I do ask for this nomination is because I was exposed to a COVID 19 positive patient and had to take time off work. And with the gift card help, it would help me as a parent of two. To at least be able to put a little more food on the table for the kiddos. Either way, it goes I'm not a hero but I am willing to put myself before others. Thank you for doing this and if someone else deserves this in any way more than myself please pass me by thank you.

Through all of life's challenges, Willie never stops giving. Giving love, advice, a helping hand, and to his community. This man is 76 years old and is a true hero and inspiration. Never has this man complained or said, "I can't do this." He helps so many people with the little that he has and never stops giving. He deserves a medal of honor for being an outstanding Hero.

Laura has always been there for me when I need her the most. She has been more like my mom than my real mom. She treats my other 2 kids like they were her own grandkids. She buys them stuff and everything. She just has a good heart. I love her and I want to thank her for everything she does for me and my kids. You are my hero and I hope I become as strong as you. I look up to you a lot. Thank you so much for accepting us in your life.

Jean is a professor. She leads the medical technology program at a University. Her job entails long hours of work under ordinary circumstances. She and her fellow professors have worked so many additional hours to rework all of their classes and get them online so that the students are able to continue their course work and graduate. In a matter of a few weeks, she had to scramble to learn new software, obtain her own computer that she could depend on to conduct the classes, assemble the courses, load them to the software, and test it to ensure it worked. And with all of the added work, she still cares for her 94 year old mother, grocery shops for her, makes masks, and takes care of her own household. She is an extraordinary person, deserving of a huge thank you.

Dillon is my hero because he served our country for 11 years in the navy and is there for those who need help. He is an amazing person and son to his mom. He is hardworking and has always accomplished what he has put in his mind he has wanted in life and hasn't let anyone or anything stand in his way and has always given 100%

When she had nothing, Terri helped me and protected me when I was a child. I remember going to see her and she gave me change for an item I wanted in a garage sale. She allways found a way to make my life better and feed me when I was hungry. These days, she needs me and others to help her because she has been diagnosed with lupus and it has taken her down. Thanks for allowing me to share this even if nothing else becomes of this.
